Loughside awarded Clubmark Award

IFA president
Jim Shaw presenting Joe English with our Clubmark Award.
Loughside Football Club are honoured to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Clubmark Award, by Belfast City Council and Sport NI after a very rigorous and detailed examination of all aspects and practices of our clubs operation and practices.
We are one of only a small number of sports clubs in N. Ireland to have achieved this award. We are also only the third Junior Football Club in Northern Ireland to have received this honour.
Clubmark is a Sport Northern Ireland Initiative implemented by Belfast City Council to:
- Ensure that accrediting partners apply core common criteria to ensure that consistent good practice and minimum operating standards are delivered through all club development and accreditation schemes.
- Enable parent(s)/carer(s) to make informed decisions when choosing a club for their children.
- Ensure that Clubmark accredited clubs are recognised through a common approach to branding.
- Provide a focus around which all organisations involved in sport can come together to support good practice in sports clubs working with children and young people.
It means Loughside Football Club and its Structures, Practices and committee have been examined by both Belfast City Council and Sport NI assessors in the areas of ‘effective management’, ‘quality coaching and competition’ and ‘safety in sport’, and found to be of a suitably high standard to be awarded this honour.
So it's not just our players achieving success on the pitch, our Club itself is enjoying its share of success as well.
